Belle qui tiens ma vie Captive dans tes yeux, Qui m'as l’âme ravie D'un sourire gracieux, Viens tôt me secourir Ou me faudra mourir. =================================== Beautiful one, you who holds my life captive in your eyes, Who gladdens my soul with a smile, Come soon, rescue me, or I shall die. Why do you flee, dainty one, if I am near you? When I see your eyes, I lose myself in your gaze, For your perfection changes my very being. Approach therefore, my beauty, come, my wellbeing. Don’t reject me, because my heart is yours. To relieve my pain, give me a kiss!

=================================== The contented is rich in this world and happy in this time. With merry heart, free and pure, he lives at home without concern. Be in love but not lovesick. And to all mourning close your eyes. Always, fellows, do so and you will live a hundred years and more.

=================================== As the rose must fade and cannot last, So the youthful bloom upon your skin, Your comely face, your springtime, will be past, Too soon, the swift years’ ravages begin. And so, my love, let all your human charms Go not to waste, but let us them enjoy: Pleasure beckons, take me in your arms Before relentless time can all destroy.

J'ai si grand deuil et peine douloureuse, Qu'on me verra bre mes jours définer, =================================== A thousand regrets at deserting you and leaving behind your loving face, I feel so much sadness and such painful distress, that it seems to me my days will soon dwindle away.

=================================== I have no more care for the things That used to please me. And that which does not have passion Does not please me. For I have gained such credit and authority That by my willpower I am no longer fragile.

=================================== I never have enjoyed myself so much before as in these past three days: I have danced the time away to the sound of fifes and drums. Ah my friend, la la la, what a time I have had, la la la, and la la, what a time I have had, dancing, dancing all these days to the sound of fifes and drums.

Au verd boys je m'en iray, Je m'en iray seulle, Au verd boys je m'en iray jouer. =================================== I will go into the green woods alone, I will go there to play. I say to my friend: “I’ll see you in an hour.” Let them talk! I will go into the green woods alone And wait for her. I see myself in the green wood, I see her under the green leaves - Maulgré who is longing for a sweet kiss.

=================================== When I entered a garden I found Willam Martin Together with Helen, Who wanted some seeds, His beautiful little seeds (and not the kind you eat). Then William said to her: “You will get what you are entitled to, when I get my breath back. But don’t take so much, because too big an appetite often leads to a “full belly”!”

=================================== La, la, la, do not dare I say it, La, la, la, I will tell you now! There is a man of the village who is jealous of his wife; he is not jealous for nothing, because he is cuckolded completely. He is not jealous for nothing, because he is cuckolded completely. He knows when he goes to the market, That she goes to all. In the end, after this ordeal, This poor man hung himself, But his wife in her malice, Followed him to Lucifer. The moral of this story, is that before you marry, You have to know that on that day, That is for eternity

=================================== He is handsome and fine, my husband is! There were two gossiping women in the village, Saying one to the other: “Do you have a good husband?” He doesn’t scold me, or beat me either. He does the chores, He feeds the chickens And I take my pleasure. Really you have to laugh to hear the cries of the chicks and hens: Co, co, co, co, dae, little flirt, what’s this?

=================================== I do not eat pork at all. Of the pig I’ll speak some words: He does things that make me prickle. He could eat a hundred turds; All he does is slurp and giggle. First he flips them, makes them jiggle, Laughs and chomps them, great and small. I do not eat pork at all. Once the pig, when boredom stirred, Went to play along the river, Where he saw a floating turd. Grabbing what the waves delivered, He said with a greedy quiver, “Turd that’s floating in the river, Now surrender you or fall!” I do not eat pork at all.

=================================== Oh wine on the vine, Sweet pretty wine on the vine! That flowing and sweet wine on the vine, Oh, wine in a cluster, Sweet wine in a cluster, That flowing and sweet, sweet wine in a bunch.
